The new summer league season starts on Thursday 24th July.
The side has retained its core of Ben Kiely, John Townsend, Lee Greenwood, Danny Rajput and Andy Storey. Also with returning players Michael Tizzard and Stuart Townsend. The new additions of Kevin Skehan and Ed Rumsey make up the numbers.
Should we manage to get this side out every week then it will be a force to be considered with, with good strength in depth and abundance of talent.
John Townsend goes into the season after winning the first ever Winter League averages competition, chalking up 34 wins in 38 matches. There doesn't appear to be an obvious weakness in his game.
The League consists of 3 Divisions (two consisting of 6 teams and the third having 5 teams). The 2 top placed teams from each group qualify for the Quarter Finals along with the 2 best placed 3rd teams.
Our Section Consists of;
1.Lady Haig RBL
2.Lady Haig 'B'
3.The Three Elms
4.Britwell Ex 'B'
5.North Maidenhead Cricket Club
6.Bye
Looking at the section, the favourites to qualify are Lady Haig RBL and The Three Elms with 3rd place being fought between the Lady Haig B and North Maidenhead......but that shouldn't be taken for granted!
Our Main threat for winning the group will be in the shape of The Three Elms - run by Dean Hardestly. News is that he has pinched 2 players who were "signed up" for us (Joey and Adam) and also has added Trevor Dias and Lee Munday to his side.
